Connect your Liquality wallet to decentralized apps in the RSK network and find solutions to common issues related to Rootstock addresses
To connect your Liquality wallet with dapps in the Rootstock network (e.g. Sovryn, Money On Chain), you need to go to 'Settings' to make sure you have the 'Default Web3 Wallet' option enabled and select 'Rootstock (RSK)' in the 'Web3 Network' dropdown menu. Refresh the dapp page after making these changes and click the 'Connect Wallet' button at the dapp site you want to interact with.
I see two Rootstock addresses, how do I connect to the correct one?
All wallets created before version 0.41.0 have two Rootstock (RSK) addresses derived from the wallet's 12 words seed phrase (Secret Recovery Phrase):
Legacy Rootstock 1 : This address was created using a different derivation path defined on the native RSK addresses. Legacy addresses are only shown to users with wallets created prior to version 0.41.0, and users who have restored from seed in a new installation.
Rootstock 1 : This address looks the same for all EVM based networks (e.g. Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, BNB Smart Chain [formerly known as Binance Smart Chain]). This is the only RSK address shown to new Liquality wallet users.
To connect to a dapp with one specific RSK address you may need to follow these steps:
-
Got to 'Settings'
-
Use the 'Forget all connections' button
-
Refresh the page
-
Re-connect your Liquality wallet to the dapp site
You'll see the two addresses in the 'Connection Request' popup window, select the address you want to connect to the service.
If you have RBTC or tokens in one of the addresses and you need them in the other, you need to send them first to the address you want to use at the dapp site. Remember that you need RBTC funds to be able to pay for the gas transaction fees.
